NGDC is the designated NERC data centre for the storage and management of geoscience data in the UK. Our team of specialist data management staff provide support to all those depositing to and re-using data from NGDC.

NERC grant-funded researchers
As part of the (EDS), NGDC is the place of deposit for NERC-funded datasets that fall under the discipline of geoscience, in compliance with , to which all NERC grant holders are subject.

UK drilling companies and contractors
Under UK legislation, BGS (and NGDC as an extension) is designated as the place to which must be given and the resulting records must be deposited. National Geological Repository users
